About Georgina Manvell
Georgina Manvell is very well known for her knitting designs but in the early 1980s she had lots of fun designing character fabric dolls.She taught these skills at Denham College Women’s Institute as well as in her home town of Potterne.The photo shows Georgina at the Potterne County Fair in 1981.
These are some of her creations.The Rev Septimus Peabody,Mary and the baby Jesus,Mr and Mrs Shadbolt and Fred the Builder.The detail is amazing and they are so lifelike you almost expect them to talk
